federate Treasury notes at the several dates
specified; one that the Revenue Depat tinent
lias adopted, and which they require to lie ob
served in estimating the value of Confederate
money. The reader will readily observe that
the Confederate money must be ivdaeed to
currency and not to a specie basis, nt} has been
