The above table shows what one dollar in
Greenbacks is estimated to be worth in Con
federate Treasury notes nt the several dates
specified ; one that the Revenue Department
has adopted, and which they require to be ob
served in estimating the value of Confederate
money. The reader will readily observe that
the Confederate money must lie reduced to
currency and not to a specie basis, as has been
