II o’clock, for the purpuee of discuss,
ing the merits ot the South Geor

come out boldly.
HON. H?*s! PITCH.
It will be seen by the correspond
ence we publish to day, that this gen>
tie man has consented, in reply to an
invitation of some of .our citizens, to
address the people of Thomas county,
ou the 4th of July. Mr. Fitch is U.
S, District Attorney for this District,
and though a Northern man, has gain
ed the confidence of the Southern peo
ple, by his open, frank, and manly
conservatism. He is regarded as an
eloquent speaker, and thoroughly ac
quainted with the views and principles
ot the several political parties. We
may therefore expect to be well enters
tained by him on the 4th of July.
BuKKfs Weekly ton Hoys and

week, with his great Sterreosoopticon.
We had no opportunity to witness his
exhibitions, but we are reliably inform

ihe number of his pieces, and in every
way improved each department.
Newspaper Change.—We notice
that Capt. lluckalew has withdrawn
from the editorial chair of the 'Falla

tiers/'" Nbw York: Rev. Dr.
Deems, Pastor. —Strangers visiting
New York arc respectfully informed
that a congregation composed of Chris
tians of the different denominations
lias been organized under the pastoral
charge of ltcv. Charles F Deems.
The services arc held morning and
night in the largo Chapel of the I ni.
versity, two blocks west if the New
York Hotel.
The pastor’s resilience and post of
fice address is 221 West 31th street.
.Strangers is the-city who are sick or
in distress may freely call upon Dr.
Deems for pastoral service. When
way womber of any church conics to
New York, let him cull promptly on
the l'astor of the Church ol'the .Strarii
gers. Especially let this be done in
the esse of young men, who will have
a cordial welcome.
Newspapers friendly to this enter
prise are reapcctfully requested to copy
this notice and allow it to stand.
Hfir-Therc is one thing which wipes
out the stain of “rebellion,” ‘'treason,”
“secessiooism,” at once, in the eyes of
the Radical leaders. Just let a “rr
bcl,’’ or a “traitor,” or a <Vr«A,” show
the least symptom of uniting with the
Radicals, or a proclivity towards affilia
tion with them, and he ia immediately
received into favor, and hit sins arc
forgiven. Geo. Irongstreet’s recent
letter rather indicating s leaning in
favor of aeting with, or allowing riie
away, without opposition, of the Hstli
eals, is pronounced to be proof that
‘ he ir worthy of taking part in there.
