Fletcher Institute
THE exercises of this Seliool will begin on
Monday, tbe I6th of September, next, and
end with the fourth week in June, 18ii8.
The scholastic year will be divided into two
sessions of twenty weeks each.
Rates of tuition as heretofore, payable quar
terly iu advance. Pupils charged from time
of entering to end of session. Deductions
made in oases of protracted sickness.
The exercises of the School are designed to
be eminently practical—embracing a thorough
English, Mathematical and Classical education-
Arrangements are made for thorough in
struction on the Piano Forte, while Lessons in
Vocal Music will be given Free of Charge.
In entering upon the labors of another year,
we can only give assurance of a tixed deter
mination to discharge our duties faithfully to
our patrons and pupils.

struction on the Piano Forte, Guitar, Violin,
Flute, or Sax Horns. Will also give instruc
tions in Singing, Harmony, Thorough Pass,
Composition, &c.
Terras per quarter of ten weeks, (thirty les
sons, occupying fifty minutes time cm h lesson),
Twenty-live Dollars—strictly in advance, ex
cept bv special contract.
I will (if desirable,) instruct a class for the
express purpose of preparing them to teach
Music .provided four or more pupils can be ob
tained. Instructions in this department will
consist of daily lessons, (Saturdays and Sun
days excepted) on the Piano Forte, or any (one)
instrument named above, combined with The
oretical Singing (by note.) which is indispen
sable to thorough preparation for teaching.—
Terms, One Hundred Dollars per term of
twenty weeks—Two Hundred and Fifty, with
Board included.
A proficiency in Music can Im* obtained in a
few months in a strictly musical school, that is
rarely obtained in years, ..ml g:\ at expense,
by the usual method of instruction.
Any wishing to join the class without a view
to teaching, will be received, but will be re
quired to abide by all the rules regulating tire
Class of Teachers.
