only be increased for tbe necessary •
renovation and extension ot the road.
It is quite reasonable to expect,
that this company will begin to pay j

This Company escaped direct injury
from the late military movements until
December 18G4, when 35 1-2 miles (
near Savannah were torn up by Gen
Sherman. In June. 1805, the entire
road was restored to the President, and
Directors and the work of repairs sown
rommenced. The road can be reasoq
ably expected to be in running order
|by the 15th December next. These
i repairs can probably be effected with*
! out requiring the Company to obtain
more than five or six miles of new iron,
which amount they have already in
; hand.
