I riMES-ENTERPRISE, THOMASVILEE, GEORGIA, MARQH 25, 1C01. A GEORGIA JUDGE WAS ALARMINGLY AFFLICTED WITH CATARRH OF THE LUNGS, CURED BY PE-RU-NA. JUDGE DURHAM, OF GREEKSBORO, GEORGIA. Catarrh of the Lungs the First Stage of Consumption. So All Medical Authorities Agree. Judge Durham, a well-known local Judge of Greensboro, Ga., had an expe rience with l’oruna well worth reciting. A report had become current among the' Judge's Iricnda that he wa* threatened with consumption. It waa (eared for a time that Georgia waa to loae one of ita moat prominent and Influential citizens. It waa also reported that the judge had failed to get any relief from any of the medical aid at hla command, that he had made uao of the now world famous remedy, Pernna, and made a prompt re covery. Tho affair cretted quite a sensa tion in medical circles especially, and the many friends of-Judgo Durham were notonly exceedingly gratified at hiaye- oovery, but were enthualaatia in their iad brought prtites of the remedy that hi him relief. cured by Poruna, Thousands more are ratal end of one of these Tho following written statement from the Judgo himself sot forth the facts i Greensboro, (7a., March 3,1900, “Some time ago 1 contracted a severe cold which settled on my lungs and In my bead. 1 tried mttny remedies, all ot which gave me no relief, 1 con cluded that my case was catarrh of the head and lungs, and seeing Parana so highly recommended l began using It, experiencing the very beat resulta from the first bottle, , A reward of $10,000 has been deposited In the Market Exchange Bank, Colum bus, Ohio, as a guarantee that the above testimonial is genuine ; that we hold in our possession authentic letters certifying to the same. Every one ot our tes timonials are genuine and in the words of the one whose name is appended. "I continued using Peruna for a short while, and have never felt the least symptoms ot catarrh since. Pe- runa la certainly a good medicine, and deservea the highest praise which la given It by the generalpublic. Judge Durham has been Secretary and Treasurer of the city of Greensboro, Ga., for the past throo years, and has been a local judge for ten years. . Dread Consumption, There are three roads whloh lead from health to consumption. 1 Over one of these roads pass all of that great multi tude of people who die every year of consumption, Bach route begins with health and happines^ and ends with dis ease and death. First roadi a slight cold—neglected— settles in the head or throat—chronic catarrh—extends to thelunga—consump tion—death. Second road: a slight cold—neglected cough—settles in the lungs—cough grad ually growing worse—consumption— death. Third road: a odd—neglected—settles In thojthroat—hoarseness—short breath —consumption—death. Thousands have just started on one ot these roads, all of whom could be easily half way to the roads who are still curable by a course of treatment by. Parana. Yet other thousands are near the end whose last days could be made bearablo and hope ot recovery more probable by log Peruna without delay. If It Is GROCERIES You Need, WE HAVE THEM. My back was causing me almost continual misery. The pain was right across the small of it—a heavy, dull, bearing-down pain, and a weakness. I used many different medicines, without apparent resuit,. and ' ' ’ ' but the also tried liniments, 1 pain still remained. 1 saw Doan's Kidney Pills advertised and got a box o and gave them a thorough trial. Pastor White of the Baptist congrega tion here, as usual preached two very instructive sermons last Sabbath. He doesn’t object to people going to a de cent show, but he thinks they onght to go to ehnroh also, and exhibit the same amount of Interest, Some of those who sometimes get a lR'tle restless when the sermon is long, felt somewhat uncom fortable for a while. I think there is some difference in listening to a minis ter and u showman. More nervous en ergy is expended at church in an hour than is required in three days at a one horse show. Mr. J. H. Davis a former Meigs boy now railroad agent at Flint, accom panied by bis wife, was here ou a visit a few days since.
