At noou today fire was discovered at the Hjggstou Lumber Go’* plant about a mile from the city. There was no fire protection, aud tho entire plant, including the saw mill, planing mill, several oat houses, and about a million feet of lumber was destroyed. The plant was valued at about $.>0,000, and was the largest in all this neighbor- hood. Only the office building was saved. Insurance wns $*.*0,000 It is understood that the company will prob ably not rebuild. Thu funerals of Mrs. Tittsworth aud Mr. Jno. B. Mr. Ernest Mallard is quite sick at his homo on Fletcher street. Mr. R. B. Patterson has been award* ed the Times-Knterprise subscription oflfored for raising the tallest stalk of oats.
