Yesterday afternoon the home of Mr. J. J. Hartsfleld on Oarrol Hill was burned to tho ground. The flames originated from a defective flue. The miiy was eating dinner in the kitchen, and the flames gained each headway that they barely had time to esoapo without saving any of their belongings. The house aud all its contents were de- stroyed. It is outside the city limits and the Are department was not called upon. This is the culmination of a series of misfortunes that have fallen upon this family. A few months ago a fire consumed tho home and the one burned yesterday had just been rebuilt and*still lacked a few finishing touches. A CARLOAD TO HAPEVILLE ORPHANAGE. Baptist Church.. In Thl.
