To the Hoo. Mayor aud Council of

Gentlemen; We respectfully repre
sent to yonr body that it is absolutely
necessary for the conduct of the bu>i
ness ol compressing cotton at this point
that additional si Unit facilities be pro-
Tided at onr compress on Campbell
street.
By the efforts of this compaoy and
their associates the concentration or
cotton at Thomasville has beon more
than donbled in the last two seasons.
It is needless to comment upon the bus
iness advantages this mean, to [the
community, both ln’the way of wages
expended and increased facilities [ex.
tended cotton bayers.
We, therefore, petition yon to grant
os authority to pnt a switch traok into
the compress platform. This swiuli
would occupy a portion of Campbell
street, it irting near where the present
•witch toms oat, running along the
platform.
The land on each side of this portion
of the street is entirely devoted to the
cotton bnsiness, as one side is owned
by the Atlantia Coast Line Railroad
Company aud oocnpiel by its tnok,
wid the other side Is. owned and occu
pied by the Georgia* Alabama Compress
Oompan.v-
There can possibly be no inconven
iences to residents of that portion of
the oity, and the oonstrnotion of tbe
switch will nndonbtedly insure to the
bnsiness advantage of the entire com
munity.

-Dr. S. Weir. Mitchell.
The clean, rich nerve-force that was behind th'fi
health and happiness of thousands upon thous
ands is literally burning itself up like the drj)
wick of an empty lamp. It is the “Strenuoufl
Life,” with a vengeance.
Can men who go to their work in the morning
tired and with lax spirits give to their own af
fairs the electric touch of confidence and power
upon which success depends?
Can mothers worn out and nervous,
dully or ill-tempered through the routine
homekeeping, bring into the family life that pre
cious spirit of hopefulness and happiness with
out which the word "home’’ seems a mockery?
, When you feel exhausted—when you grow
tired sooner than you should—when you lose pa
tience with the irritating cares of daily life—
when you feel discouraged—when you feel that
your hopes ard ambitions are not as high as they
used to be—when you spend a sleepless night—
when you get up almost as weary as when you
went to bed—when you are worried.
These are all signs that your nqrve forces an
burning low.
Neglect the nerves and they will make yotl
feel this neglect in many ways, they control all
irgans 1
working in that harmonjr which is essential to
real health.
This is why Paine’s Celenr Compound is able to
bring health in so many different forms. Paine’s
Celery Compound feeds and nourishes the nerves.
It make new Nerve Force. It makes pure, rich
blood, a clean active liver, a stomach that aett
quietly and strongly upon all the food that Is given
to it, bowels that throw away promptly and surely
all the ashes from life’s engine room.
It makes the heart beat true and evenly, it
makes the brain clear atfd vigorous.
The Nerve Force does this all, and Paine’s Cel
ery Compound makes the Nerve Force.
Best of all it makes that buoyant life-spirit, the
thrill of health, that is the secret of happiness and
the keynote of individual success.
Without Nerve Force there can be no health at
•11—no success—no joy in living.
John S. Long’s case is simply one of thousand*
upon thousands. An average case and an object
lesson to the average person.
