OUR LOSS OF
ONE MAN
(From the Griffin News.)'
It will be 1907 before Muscogee
county will get the three representa
tives In the legislature to which the
county Is now entitled by virtue of
being one of the limited number of
counties In the State entitled, by rea
son of population, to three represen
tatives. Thomas county, whoso pop
ulation was slightly In excess
Muscogee’s, has had three represen
tatives, buk the creation of Grady
county will make the population of
that county smaller than Muscogee’s,
and thus the county moves Into the
three-representatives class. At the
next election which will take place
,ln October next year, three represen
tative will be elected by Muscogee.
Muscogee will have only two Tepre-
aentatives, however, until the terms
of the present representatives, Messrs
Russell and Jackson expire.

expenses If the state board persists
In carrying out Its threat.

In the parlors where the ceremony
