From Friday’s daily. ,The dry goods store at tbe Mitchell House corner, of Mr. Charles Wolff, passed into the hnnds of J. T. Culpep per receiver, at noon yesterday and the doors of the establishment were closed. The receiver was appointed upon the petition of a number of creditors of the firm, by Judge Rob- MltchelJ. The petitioning creditors are Goldenberg Bros. & Co. of New York, the Citizens’ Banking and Trust Company of Thomasvllle and the Thomasvillo National Bonk. Their petition recites that they rep resent more than one-third of the accounts due by the flrni of C. and S. M. Wolff. The schedule is ns fol lows: Goldenberg Bros. & Co., on open account, $172.23, on promis sory note, S'l00. Citizens Banking and Trust Co., $0,136.95, evidenced by several promissory notes since March 16, 1905. Thomasvillo Na tional Bank, $9,312.05, evidenced by promissory notes since March 30, 1903. In addition to the above Indebted ness of $15,000 there aro other Ittlnis of about $5,000 against the firm. On Wednesday night Deputy Singletary lovlcd on the stock for the amount of $1,225 due for rent to W. C. Snodgrass, owner of the Mitchell House. The Messrs. Wolff claim as sets of more than $10,000 in the form of open accounts due them and Btock. The doors of the store are closed and will remain an until stock is taken and there are further orders from the receiver.
