cheapest, so why not use the Eilwood? It is made especially
for a hog fence and is absolutely guaranteed—If you are go
ing to do any fencing write me before buying, and I will
take pleasure in quoting you my very lowest prices. If then
I can’t sell you I certainly wont do yon any barm, and might

On Saturday night one ot the bold
est horse thefts In the history of
ThomasvIIlo took place. Between
the hours ot 7 and 8 o'clock a dark
gray mare was taken from the public
stalls on Madison street back of
'Neel’s store. The animal was the
property of Mr. Jesse Davl# who
lives near Pavo. Accompanied by
his brother ho reached town late Sat
urday evening, hitched the horse
there and wont to attend to some
business. ' Upon his return after an
hour , he found tho horse gone. His
buggy was not disturbed. The horse
had been left wtth tho harnesa on.
This the thief removed and threw It
Into tho next stall. Thero Is no clue
ns to whom the robber might have
been but he was certainly a man of
norvo to attempt so bold a deed In
the heart of the city on a busy night.
The ofllcers are on the lookout for
him and have warned their neighbor

YNODICAL
COLLEGE"
Mr. Jas. Watt on Com
mittee. Thomasville
May Get It
\
Mr. Jamea Watt of this city la
member of a committee appointed
jy the Synod of Georgia this wee
to consider the establishment of
synodical college, there Is no col
lege for men of the Presbyterian
faith in Georgia and many boys from
Presbyterian families go to North
Carolina. The matter will be decid
ed by the next sessloh of the Synod.
The claims of Thomasville as a loea
tlon for the college will be strongly
urged.
The sentiment developed in favor
of this movement was so strong that
a committee from the various pres
byteries, consisting of sixteen mem
bers, was appointed by the Synod
The power of this committee is at
most unlimited as tat as all tbe pre
liminary work connected with the es
tablishment of this new college and
their report will be awaited with
much Interest by all who feel Inter
ested in higher education in Georgia,
as well aa by Presbyterians.
This committee will take up this
matter at an early date and some
definite plan for the eynodical col
lege wilt be made public soon,
other Important step taken was the
appointment ot a committee consist
ing ot one member from each pres
bytery, wbo will consider the read
justment ot presbytery bounds. It Is
believed that this committee will re
port In favor of adding another pres
bytery to the ones now composing the
synod, probably establishing this
new presbytery In South Georgia.

HUNT VISITS
FLA. SYNOD
President I. Cochrane Hunt, accom
papled by Mrs. Hunt and their two
boys left yesterday afternoon tor
Jacksonville, Fla., where they will
spend several days. Mr. Hunt's mis
sion Is to enlist the aid of the Synod
of Florida for Young's College. It
la probable that the Synod will re
cognise the Thomasville school offi
cially as the institution favored by
that body. Educational affairs are at
present in a state of chaos in Flori
da owing to the reorganization of all
colleges of the state by the Bnckman
bill. The time tor recognition ot the
ThomasviUe college is favorable and
It has all the advantage of location
In its favor.
