Thomasvllle, Georgia:

tion will be held on the 23d day of
November; 4905, at the court house

held, and in accordance with the pro
visions of the acts of the General As
sembly of Georgia approved August
13. 1904, Appearing upon page 85,
of the published acts of 1904, for
the purpose of determining the ques
tion of whether or not the city of
Thomasvllle, Ga., shall incur a debt,
under and by virtue of the provisions
of the constitution of Georgia and
said act of 1904, In the sum otthlrty
thousand, (330,000) dollars. Bald
debt bearing sU (6) per cent inter
est payable annually for the pur
pose of the said city purchasing the
electric. lighting and power plant
of the Thomasvliie Electric Light and
Gas Company, said plant consisting
of te wires, poles, franchises, ma
chinery, tools and attachments com
plete, together with the real estate

by said city for the purpose of gen
erating electricity to be used by said
city, its residents, and those living
in territory contiguous to said city,
for lighting and power purposes,
those using said electricity so gen
erated fo'r light and power to pay for

four thousand (-$4,000) dollars
beginning on the first day of Jan
uary, 1907, ad each and every year
thereafter until said debt shall have
been fully paid off and discharged.
The terms of the contract to be
made by said city for which said

said city of Thomasvilio to receive
In consideration of said sum, fee sim
ple title and corporal possession of

as hereinbefore described. By the
terms of said contract between the
parties the said c|ty of Thomasvllle
will pay to the Thomasvllle Electric
Light and Gas Company for the par

debt shall have been fully discharged

city’s certain promissory notes for

them nt any time before maturity
with a discount of six (6) per cent
per annum for unearned time.
Said city of Thomasvllle at and
before this debt is Incurred shall pro
vide by ordinance for the levy and
collection of an <pnnual tax on 'the
taxable property tvithin said city
sufficient to pay the. principal and
Interest on-said debt as the same

Provided, nevertheless, that no
art of this tax shall be collected at
any time whatsoever, unless the
sums hereafter to he provided and
set apart by ordinance annually from
gross revenue collected from water
rents, light rents, street tux, dog tax,
and licenses and any nod all other
sources at the same rate as now fixod
