J. W ; COCHRAN & SONS,
The building ot railroads Is a
sign ot the universal prosperity of
this section of Georgia. Interesting
(acts have been recently developed
about both ot ThomasvUle’s sys
tems, the Atlantic Coast Line and
the Atlantic and .Birmingham.
The Coast Line has In contempla
tion the building of a line (rom Tal
lahassee to Amsterdam in Decatur
county, where they will tap a branch
line of the aystem and thereby reach
their main line between Thomasville
and Montgomery.
It this line Is built as contemplat-
sd It will give the Coast Line the
short route (rom Tampa and nil of
the west coast country to the west.
It has also been said that the Coast
Line would not build out ot Talla
hassee, but would .make a traffic ar
rangement with the Georgia, Florida
and Alabama railroad (or the pur
pose or taking care of-the Immense
tonnage and thousand! of passen
gers which now go Into and out of
that section of Florida.
The Atlanta Journal of Sunday
utalns a full page about the Atlan-
: and Birmingham. It- has a>msp
of the system ae It will look when
completed.. , It will then compose
more than seven hundred mile* of
rallrosd, running from Thomasville
to Atlanta and from Brunswick to
Birmingham. It tells how the plan
of the rosd was ovolvsd years ago
by Harry Atkinson, of Atlanta. It
originally ran between Dougina and
Waycross as a lumber rood. It was
then known as the Waycroaa Air
Une and waa soon extended to Flti-
ternld. The next step carried It on
:o Montezuma. July first, 1200, saw
It consolidate with the Tlftoh and
Northeastern and the Tlfton,Thomas
ville and Gulf. At the time of the
consolidation the people of Thomas
ville were not greatly pleased at the
Idea, especially as the first act of
the new road was to discontinue the
teneral offices here. They promised,
lowever, that they had In mind
plana, which would be for the bene
fit of Thomasville In a greater de
gree than the small road could hope
to be, and so far they have made
good their promise.
The Brunswick and Birmingham
was purchased, giving the road a
seaport. Then the extension from
Montesuma to Birmingham was be
gun, and bos now reached as far
as Talbotton, A cut-off will conduct
this road with Atlanta via Warm
Springs. Thomasville people can
therefore go over the rails of one
system from here to Birmingham or
Atlanta. The year 1807 wfll wit
ness the completion of these great
plans of the A. A B. and this city
will reap a direct benefit from being
the southern terminus of a great In
dependent railroad aystem.
'BU8INESS RAPIDLY GROWING.
j dies out. Its sale Is constantly- in
creasing and at the present time has.
assumed such proportions os to; jus
tify the asertion that It has never
ben equalled by any remedy. Th?te*
timony of thousands Is proof of Its
merit.
Dllllnghams Plant Juice Liniment'
Is justly styled the greatest pain i
medicine on earth and already bun-!
dreds of Thomas county people are.
ready to testify to the truth of this!
assertion. It Is an unfailing rem-!
edy for rheumatism, sore throat,
pleurisy, pneumdnla, croup, tooth
ache, fainting, headache, stiff joints,
cuts, burns, chlllblalns, heartburn,
lumbago, spinal affection, sprains,
cramps In the stomach, brrfises, dya-
entary, bruised or twisted limbs, the
result of falls, or other accidents,
and, In fact, is unfailing In Its cur
ative effects in all cases requiring
prompt and effective relief.
Since ils Introduction in Thomas
ville It has been used by a number
of persons, with the best results,
while In other cases where used the
results have been universally grati
fying. It Is equally efficacious with
animals, and can be used with per
fect safety anywhere, when the di
rections are carefully followed.
Plant Juice Healing Salve is an
other of the splendid preparations
and has Its legitimate use for the
afflicted. It Is especially valuable
In cases of old sores, burns and
painful Injuries where a safe and
healing preparation Is neede.
Plant Juice Soap Is a favorite
Dillingham teller. U Is manufac
tured from qullla bark, cocoa oil and
amolel and Is one of the most reliable
toilet soaps manufactured. It Is es
pecially good for shaving purposes,
and Is having a tremendous sale
wherever introduced, taking ’ the
place of the standard brands of shav
ing soap which have been In use for
years.
Plant Juice Remedies are on sale i
at Montgomery A MacIntyre's.
femaleWeaknes:
"Last Fall," writes Mrs. S. G. Bailey, of Tun-
neiton, W. Va., "I was going down by inches,
from female disease, with great pain. After tak
ing. Cardui, Qhl My! Howl was benefited! I
am not well yet, but am so much better that I will
keep on taking Wine of Gardui till 1 am perfectly
cured.”
Despite the envious attacks of jealous enemies
and rivals, Cardui still holds supreme position
today [as in the past 70 years] for the relief and
cure of female diseases. It stops pain, tones up
the organs, regulates
organs
the functions, and sy'ds
in the replacement of
a misplaced organ.
