proposed meeting on the eighteenth

ripe for notion. Wilson came yester
day to tho Times-Eatsrprtso and vol-
nntartly said that the circular was
his own production, and explained}
further particulars of the proposed
gathering for tho “good of the race.”
"I take this manner of apeallng to
you, and calling your attention to a
thing that U of vital importance to
the interests and wall being of the
colored citlsens of onr municipality.
Add that Is an organisation to be
known and styled as a colored Cttl-
tens Committee to be composed of
race, relative to electric lights, water
works, sewerage cemeteries, public
schools and public buildings-sad all
public places where the general pub
lic is taxed to maintain them and see
that no unjust discrimination is
practiced against the colored people
as a race.
It should further be their duty
to use all honorable means at their
command to encourage a' greater race
pride and race loyalty among our own
people, end a greater respect for law
and order among the race and If any
discriminations srs made against the
race in any ot the pnblie utilities men
tloned above or otherwise, they then
should treat with the proper author-
