Macon Presbytery had one of the
most Interesting days In its hlstoiy
yesterday. - By the close vote of 18
to 15 It overtured the General As
sembly of the church against fed
eration with any other Presbyterian
body. The delegates to the assembly
were chosen yesterday, and they will
represent this view of the matter.
Today another project of great In
terest comes up, that Is the proposed
, -division of the Presbytery.
The Day’s Start.
The -work of the day was opened
early In the morning, by - devotional
exercises, led by Rev. J. C. Tims, of
Moultrie. The morning until eleven
•o’clock was spent la )•-« -ion
y of the question of federation. At
eleven the body took a recess to
hear a sermon from Rev. J. M. W.
Elder. He was received yesterday
from Roanoke Presbytery, and after
•examination was elected a member
of this Presbytery. He Is' doing
evangelical work and has his head
quarters at Cordele.
A Warm Discussion.
There was' an Interesting aod
lively discussion on the federation
question. The languuge of'the over
ture to the general assembly wae eo
, couched as to be unequivocal. It
provided that "the <-• Macon
. Presbytery waB that the General As
sembly take no further steps In the
' direction of federation with any oth
er Presbyterian body, as this Pres
bytery regards such steps as preju
dicial and Injurious to. the beat In
terests Of the Southern ■ Presbyte
rian church,” The fight for the.adop
tion of this strong resolution, was
led by Rev. Fraser, and he was sec
onded In his endeavors by Rev. W.
H. Dodge, of Bainbridge, Rev. Tims.
S oultrie. and Capt. C. P. Hansell.
here- against the resolution
Rev. W. C. Hunn/Rer^W. H.
’ Zelgler, and Rev. R. D. Stinson, ,of
Climax .' The resolution finally car
ried by the small majority ot three
votes.
Mr. Watt a Delegate.
Presbytery then proceeded to the
election of delegates to the General
Assembly, which meets In May, at
Greenville, S. C. The ministers
chosen were Rev. J. W. Quarterman,
of Dawson, and Rev. R. D. Stinson,
of Climax. The elders elected were
Mr. Jas. Watt, of Thomasville, and
Mr. R. L. Moye, of Cuthbert. Thom,
asvllle people will be pleaaed.to learn
that their fellow-townsman has thus
been honored by Presbytery.
Committees Report.
The last work of the day was the
report of the committee on sessional
records, bills, and overtures. This
occupied the time until five o’clock,
when a recess was taken to hear Dr.
Furbay lecture. ,
The Survival of the ^Inflttest.
A crowded house greeted the New
York minister when he spoke last
night at eight on “The Sundial ,of
the Unfittest,” The lecture was elo
quent, and held the closest attention
of the audience. The auditors now
understand the power that makes
Dr. Furbay a drawing card at the
Jerry McCauJey Mission In . New
York, apd the pe$t)le are eager to
bear Jitm.again./.;
Today’s Plans. , '
The chief Interest pf the day will
jenter In a proposed recommenda
tion to the Synod of. Gepirpia. that
Macon Presbytery be.. divided.This

contest will be fully a. lively a/mat liability ?f this wonderful- medicine.

GOOD NEWS IS SPREADING.
Hundreds of New Faces Seen at the
Drug Stores.
The Plant Juice remedies which,
are being introduced in this section
for the first time seem to be ac
complishing', even mote than Is
claimed for them by the advertiser,
and the number of people who have
called and voluntarily given their en
dorsement to its healing qualities In
creases day by day. Within the past
ten days hundreds of sick people who
have been using the remedies have
been calling on the druggists to ex
press their gratitude and to give tes
timony of the wonderful results of
the use of the medicines.
Many people would be surprised
to witness the number of people call
ing for Plant Juice and recounting
without request the great benefit de
rived from the use of these medi
cines. But to Montgomery & Mac
Intyre It appears to be an every-mtn-
ute occurrence. Concerning this fea
ture of the business, Dr. W. I.
MacIntyre said:
"To an outsider the many calls
that we receive daily after the med
icines have been advertised la a city,
from people' who have taken Plant
Juice remedies and have come to
tell us what It has done, may seem
to be very unusnal, but ever since,
(he introduction of this medicine we
have been having the same exper
ience every day, and therefore it Oc
curs to me as a matter of course.
A sick man or a sick woman who has
been beaefltted or made well la a
comparatively short time is the most
grateful person in the world. Prob
ably you don’t know It, but about
nine-tenths of the diseases with
which human beings are afflicted
are due primarily and fundamental
ly to stomach trouble. The stom
ach Is, practically speaking, the fur
nace which runs the machinery of
the entire body. Human life Is sup
ported by the food which Is taken
Into the system, and every bit of
food must be prepared or digested
by the stomach In puch a manner
that it can be turned Into rich blood,
bone, sinew, etc., and the minute it
becomes out of orderJbe entire sys
tem is deranged and much suffering
is* the resuit. The results accom-'
pllshcd by Plant Julep seem wonder
ful when you do not understand the
nature of the remedy.. As a matter
of fact, the prlldpal thing the rem
edy does Is to put the stomach In
good working order In a very short
time, ahd In consequence the action
of every other organ is improved at
once, and good .health la the result.
J. A. Tooke.' one of the best-
known citizens of 'J’hotnas county,
ha* been afflicted with deafness for
more than twelve years. He had
tried almost every remedy known
without relief. He was persuaded to
visit Mr. MacIntyre and stated his
case to him. When the nature of
the aliment was known, the treat
ment prescribed for Plant Juice Lin
iment was Immediately applied. The
application of this treatment ns ap
plied to Mr. Tooke was about as fol
lows: Plant Juice Liniment was
rubbed around the ear, and the sur
rounding parts were vigorously
rubbed with liberal quantities of the
liniment. The finger dipped In the
liniment was Inserted In the ear and
withdrawn with a quick motion, fol
lowing which Mr. Tooke declared
the improvement In his hearing was
perceptible at once., The cure was
Illustrated to the audience In a com-
mon conversation between the patient
andltbe operator, and the audience
q-asiastonlshed at the result.
'Mrs. R. E. Marks, a well-known
ladfy, who had been affllcted simllarl^r
for practically the same length of
tltnp, was also given the same treat
ment with the same satisfactory re-
and afflictions h^ve.been Instantly re
lieved by the application of this won
derful remedy.
I Reports from the use of this won
derful Plant Juice Remedy are also
coming to Montgomery ft'MacIntyre
dally, some of them bordering on the
'marvelous. James Smith had been
afflicted with kidney trouble and
very lame back. He secured a bottle
of Dillingham’s Plant Juice and took
It strictly according to directions.
Colonel Dillingham has the personal
and unsolicited testimony of Mr.
Smith that the Improvement In bis
condition la marked and that he la
now almost entirely relieved. This
Is one of the hundreds of cases which
arc hourly coming under the observa
tion of Montgomery & MacIntyre.
