A large number of Interested spec
tators saw the drug stock of the S.
H. Price Drug company auctioned
off yesterday morning to R. F. Whid-
don, at forty three cents on the dol
lar. The stock invoiced in the
neighborhood of $4,700 making the
price paid by Mr. Wlhiddon a little
more than $2,000. The purchaser
stated yesterday afternoon that he
had not yet decided what he would
do with the stock. He said that he
might open for business regularly,
and sell drugs at cut prices, or that
he might sell the entire lot in a
lump, as be had had offers to this
end during the day.
The purchase price includes the
soda fountain and all the fixtures.
The notes and accounts amount
In all to about $1,000. These were
purchased by the D. D. and M. Col
lection agency, a local concern that
will make a strenuous campaign.
They state that a large proportion of
the accounts are good.
The bidding for the stock was
quite spirited. - Under the eloquence
of attorney W. C. Snodgrass, who
acted as auctioneer, the meetipg did
not lag. The concern was first sold by
piecemeal, being divided into soda
fount, fixtures, cigars, safe, and
drugs. The separate bids amounted
to only a small percentage, and It
was soon realized that the lump bid
would take the whole stock. Among
the bidders were Dr. Jenkins, W. A.
Pringlo,-C.'M. Robinson, and Walter
Burch. The last named raised a bid
of 42 1-2 percent made by C. M. Rob
inson. “Let him have it“ said the
insurance man, and then Mr. Burch
announced that he was bidding for
Mr. Whiddon, who was seated near
him.
After the expenses of ndministra
tion and court costs are paid it is
probable, that creditors of the con
cern will realize a dividend of about
25 percent on their accounts.

DANGER SIGNAL NO. 1 comes
from the kidney secretions. They
will warn you when the kidneys are
sick. - Well kidneys excrete a clear,
amber fluid. Sick kidneys send out
a thin, pale and foamy, or a thick,
red, ill smelling urine, full of sedt
ment and Irregular of passage.
DANGER SIGNAL NO. 2 comes
from the back. Back pains, dull and
heavy, or sharp and acute, tell you
of Blck kidneys and warn you of the
coming of dropsy, diabetes and
Bright’s disease. Doan's Kidney Pills
cure sick kidneys and cure them
permanently.
H. Y. Ferrill, veterinary surgeon,
living at 57 State Btreet, Albany,
Ga., says: ’’Although I have been
laid up by kidney complaint, I have
suffered a great deal with a lame and
aching back, and felt like going to
bed on that account often enough.
The dull, heavy pain was with me
for several years. The urine was
also very dark and sluggish and con
tained a thick sediment I tried all
kinds of remedies., and used prescrip
tions of my own, but without success.
Nothing seemed to take hold until
I procured Doan’s Kidney Pills.
They were exactly suited to my case.
Since using the pills I have not been
bothered with those pains, and the
kidney secretions have been restored
to a normal color and consistency."
