Rowley, of Champoeg, Oregon, "from pains I had
suffered, for 4 years, every month. Sometimes I
would be unconscious for 12 hours at a stretch. I
did not know that anything could stop the pain
entirely, but Wine of Cardui did. I advise all
women suffering with painful periods to use Car
dui and be relieved.”
( It does this by regulating the functions and
toning up ail the Internal female organs to health.
It is a pure, specific, reliable, female remedy, with

BETTER RATES
FOR BOSTON
Town Gets same Freight
Schedule as Thomas-
vflle and Quitman.
The people of the .busy city of Bos
ton are delighted at the action of-the
railroad commission Thursday In
granting them lower freight rates.
They have fonght a hard fight for
this reduction. Their claims have
been pushed ever since the Georgia
Northern railroad went In there, and
made Boston a competitive point.
The people of the town expect to aee

wholesale houses may be started.
The people of Boston asked for the
same ates as are ' granted to Quit-
man on the one side and Thomasvllle
on the other, on the ground that Bos
ton la similarity situated with regard
to railroad facilities. J -
The railroads strenuously opposed
this petition and an extensive hear
ing was gone Into on Wednesday.
The commission, however, decided
against the contention Of the rail
roads and gave the people of Boston
the reduction asked for. These re
ductions amount t 0 from 15 to 80
per cent under the present rates
charged at Boston. For Instance,
the rate on canned goods from Sa
vannah to Thomasvllle Is 30 cents
from Savannah to Boston, a shorter
distance, 47 cents. The first class
rate from Atlanta to Thomasvllle Is
85 cents; from Atlanta to Boston,
31.05, while others are In proportion.
Boston now gets the same rates as
are accorded Thomasvtlle.

matidn and almost intolerable itching. An inactive state of the system and :
sluggish condition of the eliminative members leaves the waste and reftfee
matter of the body to collect and soar instead of passing them off through
nature's channels of bodily waste. The blood in its efforts to purge the sys
tem of,all foreign matter absorbs this acid and throws it off through the
pores and glands of the skin. The acrid humor seems to ooze out and set
the skin on fire, the straw colored, sticky fluid drying and forming crusts.

constant escape of acids from the blood. Local applications of salves, pow
ders, lotions etc. are desirable and should be used because they allay the
itching and give the sufferer temporary comfort, but are in no sense curative,
because they-cannot reach the seat of the trouble, which is in the blood.
