The grand Jury la now well-under

Wednesday's Session.
The Superior Court la now In the
mldit of a long drawn out case that
promises to take up all of today,
and that consumed the entire time
of the court yesterday. It la that
of Watson and Gibson against G. A.
Arthur. The suit Is for damages al
leged to have been Incurred by the
plaintiff when the defeandant, It Is
charged, cut certain timber, of smal
ler size than his contract called for,
oa the land of the former. W. M
Hammond represents the plaintiff
and S. A. Roddenbery and J. H. Mer
rill the defendant. The entire morn
ing was consumed in the arguing of
demurrers In the case. Finally-a
Jury was secured' and the examina
tion of witnesses begun. Mr. A.. M.
Watson was on the stand at thead-

witnesses and the case will take the
major portion of the day.
It Is possible that the Mitchell
case against the A. C. L. will not be
reached before tomorrow.
■Other action taken by tha court
yesterday was the granting of a total
divorce In the case-of Rosa Aikew
against Henry Askew. The grand
jury having rendered “no bills’’ In
the cases of Fleta Stephebe charged
with a misdemeanor,- and Bill Jones
charged with murder, they
ordered dismissed.
Tbe grand Jury Is hard at work,
and It now seems they will be In
session several days longer. They
have bailiffs scouring the county,
snd summoning witnesses In impor
tant cases while the witness benches
In the court house hall are crowded
with waiting people who have been
summoned.

E. H. Smith both of eald state and

wood Saw Mill Co.”
Second: The term for which pe
titioners desire to be Incorporated Is
twenty years, with the privilege of

Third: The capital atock of the
