DISEASES
FIERY ACIDS IN THE BLOGS
All skin diseases are due to the same cause—an excess of acid in the
bloo4 caused by faulty assimilation of .food and poor bowel action; this
fiery acrid matter is forced to the surface through the pores and glands.
Pustules are formed, discharging a itjclcy fluid which dries and .makes a crust,
causing intense itching. When the crusts or scabs are scratched off the
skin IS left- raw and bleeding. sits-Vy iva? broke out with a

Uncle Sam Says Standard
Oil is Behind South
ern operators.
New York. Nov. 16.—Energetic
efforts are being made by the Fed
eral government to clip -the tenta
cles of what has come to be known
as the turpentine trust, and the
tTnlted States district attorney here
is cooperating with the United States
attorney for the Southern district of
Georgia.
The turpentine "combine” has its
headquarters In the South, and many
complaints have been received by
the government authorities concern'
lug its operations. It is alleged
that a hard and fast agreement ex
ists between the various constituent
companies belonging to the so-called
trust, and that the business and ter
ritory have been divided up in reg
ular octopus fashion.
Conference is Held.
A representative of the district at
torney at Macon, Ga., it 13 learned
has been in conference with the dis-
trice attorney here, and it is un
derstood the government is on the
trail of the concern. It Is intima
ted that the turpentine trust so-
called Isinfluenced and controlled to
a greater- or less degree by the
Standard Oil Company, although
government officials are disposed to
be reticent on this phase of the ques
tion. It is known, at any rate, that
Standard Interests In the past have
attempted to absorb the turpentine
and rosin industry but ho wfar they
have succeeded, it at all remains to
be disclosed.
Relations are Suspected.
The determination of the govern
ment to dissolve the Standard Oil
Company, If possible, by means of a
suit in equity and its announced in
tention to make it hot lor the Stand
ard all along the line, appears to
Justify the opinion that the Federal
authorities Btrongly suspect that In-
lmate relations exist between the
two enterprises.

A bit of unwritten reunion his

to the Savannah gathering of vet
