The Masons of Thomas county will
gather In Thomaaville today as the
guests of Thomasvillo Lodge No.
369 In the first session ot the Thom
as county convention. These county
organizations uro formed to unify
the work, and benefit the members
ot the order, and meetings will bo
held at the diflorent towns In the
county. '
Great preparations for the event
have been mndo by tho local Masons.
A large attendance Is expected, and
there will be delegate* from every
lodge In tho county. Dinner and
supper will be served to all the vis
itors in the vacant store at the
Stark corner on Broad and Fletch
er, which is Just across the streot
from the ball. The committee in
charge, W. J. Taylor, C. T. Dandy,
R. E. McDonald and C. W. McRae
NAVAL' STORES DEAL.

Dr. M. R. Mallette, and Mr. E. R.
Whaley have purchased from Mr. H.
M. Myriclc, his one third Interest In
the Boston Naval Stores Company.
The concern owns two- places near
Boston, and they are very valuable
property.
Crawford Reappointed.
. John B.Crawford, who has served
the people of Cairo as their, post-
blaster for several years will continue
In that position for four years more.
He was reappointed by President
Roosevelt, and will be confirmed by
the sonata. H. R. Brimberry was
reappointed at Albany.

CLIFTON CRAIGMILES DIES.

Afternoon.
Clifton Cralgmlles, . a well, known
young man, died at his home near
the city late yesterday' afternoon.
Mr. Cralgmlles had a Severe attack
of pneumonia lust summer brought
on by becoming overheated and cool
ing off too suddenly. He never en
tirely recovered from the effects.
Mr. Cralgmlles was a graduate of
Mercer University where he had pre
pared himself for the law, and gave
promise of making a splendid taccess
in bis chosen -profession. He was
well knownrin Thomasvllle where he
has a host of friends frho will be
grieved to learn of his death.
He Is survived J>y his father, two
sisters, Misses Bessie and Mamie,'
and two brothers, Walter and Jo
seph. • “

Mr. Byron Collier, who has been
very ill for several days Is now recov
ering.
There was a large congregation at
Little Ochlockonee church last Sun
day, who were disappointed by the
failure of the pastor. Rev. J. B. Dun
can, to be present. The dsy was
happily spent In singing.
W. J. Carter, who has been quite
sick with pneumonia for several days
Is able to be out again.
There Is a great deal of sickness In
this community at pesent. Mr. W.
R. Culpepper Is one of the suffer-
en.
Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Rehberg went
over to Moultrie last Saturday to
spend a few days with their son, L.
F. Rehberg.
Miss Segler of Meigs was at Lit
tle Ochlockonee church last Sunday.
Mr. Joseph White of Coolldge was
visiting his daughter, Miss A. I. Rob
ertson last Sunday.
