Bartlett, Lee and Hardwick launch

lett placed the name of Mr. Smith
in nomination for the head oi the
Democratic ticket in 1908, if Mr.
Bryan is not a canidate at that time.
Despite this, Mr. Bartlett’s action
evoked a storm of applause from the
Georgians who were present.
In Memorlam.
Mrs. M. C. Estridge died last j
Thursday at the home of her grand- j
daughter, Mrs. C. T. Cuntmings. The.
cause of her death was paralysis, j
She was sick only a few days. She’;

brother, Monroe Caston of Mur-'

to mourn her loss. She was a mem-,
her of the Missionary Baptist c-'ier
from early youth, and did all she
could to work her Master’s will.
She was. in her seventy-sixth year,
and was a kind slater, a devoted
wife, anti loving mother. The re
mains were carried to Ochloekonee
church near Susina, where Rev. M.
M. Klnchen • preached the funeral
and she was then laid.to roat beside
her two granddaughters.'She. leaves
a host of friends and relatives to
mourn her loss.
