Thomas County Doctors Held .Meet,

The Thomas Co. .Medical Associa
tion held Its annual meeting yester
day at the court house, at which
time officers for the ensuing year
were elected and other business of
importance transacted.
The new officers are Dr. H. A.
yann, of Boston, president, Dr. .1.
N. Isler, of Meigs, vice-president;
and Dr. J. B. Fainter, of Thomasville
secretary and treasurer.
This association has 17 members,
and is in splendid working con
dition. The meeting yesterday wits
well attended, and proved to be an
unusually interesting meeting.

Hartford, Conn., March 8 —The
suprem court of Connecticut
just handed down a decision that
barbers in this state need not shave
negroes. The court sustained the
contention that a barber shop is not
a place of public accomodation
within the meaning of the la\v.

been heard by the authorities of the
Methodist^church. They have Just
put in six new hitching posts in front
of the church, and tree-lovers are
