W E EPPES is one of our most prominent citizens, is one of the owners of the Athens Eire trio Street Railway Company, and senior member of the Bearing Hardware Oom pany. Mr. William E. Eppes, vioe president snd active manager of the business, is a native of Florida, hat has lived here for the past twenty-three years Mr. Eppes is a great great-grandson of Thorns* Jefferson, author of the Deo'aration of Independence and founder of the Diuf- oratic party. Mr. Eppes, by virlno of his long ex perience in the grocery business, has brought an abundance of auooeea to this company. Mr. Simuel B. Wilkins, secretary of the Eppes Wilkins Company, came to Athens a few years since from Union Point. He is in charge of the book keeping and office work of the company and is as efficient a man as can be found anywhere.
