Yesterday morning at half past eleven o'olock at the home of his father, Capt. E. D. Oox, on College avenue, Mr. Lem W. Oox passed away after an illness of several weeks. The best medical attention was ren dered him in his illness, but nothing could oheck the advance of disease. Throughout his illness he gave evidence of resignation and Christian hope of eternal life. His end was peaceful and beautiful. Mr. Oox was twenty two years of age and bad for several years been the effi cient pressman on The Athens Banner. He was a popular young man, greatly beloved by his associates. He was a member of the First Methodist church in this city.
