Miss Either Upson and Mrs. Steve
Upson entertained the Five O’clock Tea
Club most beautifully yesterday after
noon at the residence of Mifs Upson.
Under the scuppprno ig aib<r, amid
the loveliest spring flowers, was played
au unique game of euchre, a battle be
tween the roses. At each table was
placed a jardenier of a different variety
of roses, and six ladies fought for her
rose. Three were sent oat at a time to
fight for her rose, while the other
iefended it at home.
The Paul N^yron was victorious, al
though her rivals were equally as perfect
in color and shape. Mrs. Asbary Hodg-
sod, Mrs. Hugh Harris and Mbs Kdwina
Williams were awarded the prizes
