Getting out all these reference
books certainly is a big undertaking
as compared with the one which at

phono directory In the world. This
was brought out on February 21, 1878,

necticut was followed by the other
vessels of the fleet in the following
order: Kentucky. Kearsarge, .Ma
mma Ixmislana. Vermont, Georgia.
Virginia. New Jersey, Rhode Island,
Minnesota, Ohio, Maine. Missouri and
Illinois.
Each vessel fired a round of twen
ty-one guns as it passed the Mayflow-

mer clouds among the fluttering flags
of the decorated ships, the effect be
ing one of unexpected beauty.
The first point at which the fleet
will touch is Trinidad, which place,
according to schedule, will be reached
the day before Christmas. The sub
sequent Itinerary will include Rio
Janeiro, Punta Arenas, Callao and
Magdalena Bay. At each of these
places the fleet will remain from five
to eleven days, except at Magdalena
Bay, from which place the date of
departure depends upon the comple
tion of target practice there. For the
same reason the date of arirval at
San Francisco, th e ultimate objective
point, has not been determined. At
-Magdalena Bay the battleships will
be joined by the cruisers and de
stroyers already on their way there.
