counting the lamps and later going
er the tickets they found that Capt.
A. Clark, conductor on the Gaines-

the number of lights and he was
veil first prize, a four dollar toaster.
No one else gussed the number of
lamps correctly, so there was no sec

COVEY OF CRAP SHOOTERS
FLUSHED BY THE POLICE
Yesterday the police were keeping
a weather eye on all suspects who
looked like the gang they flushed in
the act of tossing the coins and roll
ing the bones near the railroad trestle
in the Compton woods. Captain and
a patrolman and Max Fl-atau slipped
up on the hunch in an auto—and they
got three of the gamesters. Eleven
others escaped however. The officers
have the names of the eleven who
took leg bail and they will be round
ed by the single shot process.
