Washington, Dec. 15.—The advisory
committee on aeronautics, appointed
by Mr. Wilson last year in its first re
port through the president to congress
recommends the appropriation of
.385,090 for aeronautical laboratory
and special tests to develop a relia
ble speed met§r for aeroplanes. Many
accidents are caused because aviators
can not gauge their speed.
