Tiw Banner-Herald is ever on
the outlook (or something that
will help or boost Athens and add
l . its piosperity. Yesterday I
discovered a new enterprise just
started in our city and which
M! i .-ins much for Athens and will
advertise it all over the country.
This is the Scott-Teo & Coffee
I'aetory, located in a room at the
uar of the Combination store on
Clayton street. C. L. Scott is man.
ager and H. L. Dupree assistant
manager. Both these gentlemen
are experienced coffee experts. Mr.
Scott was for six years connected
with Arliuekle, and Mr. Deuprce,
who has charge of the handling,
parching and grinding of the cof
fee, has been trained to the busi
ness. This factory has a capacity
of 10,000 pounds a day and if
business authorizes it can exceed
(hat output. They have installed
the very latest machinery for pre
paring coffee for market and it is
quite a complicated affair.

The green coffee is poured
from the sacks in a receptacle
from which it is lifted by an ele

from one lot I saw a double hand

the dust and every particle of for

high stack pipe on the outside of
the building. So only pure coffee
is prepared. The parching and
grinding arc also done by ma
chinery. But a new machine has

sells its goods to dealers and our
grocerymen will have it on sale.
They have all grades and you get

We arc delighted to welcome
this new manufacturing enter

all over the country and every

the Banner-Herald that first gave
the news of t cold storage plant

new enterprise for our city. All
agree that what Athens most
needs is small industries.

The armistice conference of

Turks be allowed to occupy east

"I want you gentlemen and

he said, “that from now on this
