Mother of Athens Man DiesToday ATLANTA, Oa. — Mrs. . Lollie Belle Wylie, pioneer Atlanta news paper woman, poet and author of national reputation, died here to day. The funeral will be beld here tomorrow. ' Mrs. Wylie was prominent in Atlanta and Georgia’s women’s clubs, being a member of approxi mately 10 well-known organisa tions. Members of these organize tions will act as honorary ascort at the funeral. Mrs. Wylie created one of the first society departments on newspaper In the South, becoming a member of the Atlanta Journal's staff In 1887. Sbe later went to the Atlanta Georgian and was ac tively connected with the later newspaper until October of last year, when sbe was stricken with illness. Mrs. Wylie Is survived by two daughters.
