IT BEATS.
AS IT SWEEPS AS IT CLEANS
, Rugs become particularly
soiled during the winter by grit
ty dirt carried in from muddy
streets and by the sooty furnace
dirt.
Broom sweeping will not brush
out this dirt. Neither can it be
Suctioned loose with air alpne.
But THE HOOVER will thoroughly clean your
rugs. Thp Hoover brush taps gently and sweeps
efficiently at the same time. Nap is straightened,
colors are brightened, and your rug becomes
again a thing of beauty.
Buy your Hoover now, and by spring house
cleaning will be a thing of the past.

HARTWELL. Ga..—The “trinity
of proRperiny"—the hog, the cow

brought back peace, proaeprlty and
plenty to Turner county, Georgia
and made that county famous the
nation over, was the basis of an
address at the court house in Hart
well last Friday by Hon. George T,
Betts, of Aahburn, before a repre

over Hart county.
Mr. Betts, in the beginning,
stated that Georgia had long been
the loser by trying to get right
down to hard bottom—to the fun
damental troubly. "and that is its
agricultural problem," he stated.

after all these years our people are

Georgia be this great state of jvrfch

he questioned.
I don't say we should quit cot

Psychology Professor Is

In a recent laaue of the Banner

Ur. A. S. Edwards has issued n
statement In which he correct!
thla Impression making It clear
that neither ho nor bis claaa has
been convinced of the existence
of telepathy. Hla statement lol
lows:
-The Banner-Herald recently
seld.that the professor of psychol
ogy at the University of Georgia
ha.| lectured on the eubject of
telepathy and had convinced many
of his atndenta of the existence ul
telepathy.
“it would be nearer correct to
say that in a lecture about telepa
tby the professor of psychology
showed the lack of satisfactory
evidence for telepathy .which
might perhaps better be classed
with the popular superetltlons of
the day. He wishes to correct the
impression given In an earlier edl

not wish anyone to be mislead as
to his teaching on the subject.
"The no*called demonstrators
of telepathy may have fooled the
European scientists; they have not
tooled the American scientists.'
