Prime For Big Vanderbilt Series
After breaking even on the
road with Mississippi A. and M.
and Alabama the Georgia Bulldogs
are back in their own kennels for
a week and will -rest up until Fri
day when the mighty crew from
Vanderbilt comes to Athens for a
couple of games Friday and Sat*
urday.
These games will be the first
real smoke on the local diamond
and will afford plenty of color for
local fandom. Vanderbilt can be
counted upon always to have
demonstrated it this year
trouncing Auburn in two straight
games, and by huge scores at
that. j
Georgia has broken even in her :
three Southern series so far,
Clemson. Mississippi and Alabama.
She does not play these teams
again, but remaining on the

PROVIDING A PENALTY; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Be it ordained by the Board of
Health of the City of Athens, and
it Is, hereby, ordained by nuthorltj
of the samo, as fallows:
Section 1. A meat market shar
bo hold and deemed to be a place
licensed by the Mayor and Council
of the City of Athens from which
the business of retail sales of fresh
meats is conducted.
Section 2. The doors, windowF
nnd all other openings about such
meat market shall bo screened
with suitable material to keep file*
from gaining access thereto. Tht

with springs, and the said spring?

NEW YORK—The radio was em
ployed to divert a patient's atten
tion as an aid to loca^ anaesthe
sia by surgeons at Fordham Hospi

nue. the Bronx it was disclosed
yesterday. The operation, for her
nia, was successful, and it war
admitted that the radio might in
future become a factor In simllai

The four physicians who perform
ed the operation were loath, for
professional reasons, to discuss the
use of a radio outfit yesterday, but
it was learned that Iliggin’s at
tention had been completely dis

geons as soon as the headgear had
been slipped into place by a nurse
