Nurses Graduate Friday Night Graduation exercises for three student nurses at the Athens Gen eral Hospital will take place Friday night at 7:45 o'clock In the Colonial theatre. Dr. tl. C. Davis, Atlanta surgeon, will deliver the principal address at the graduation exercises. Three student, nurses, having completed the required course will be given diplomas. City Council Wednesday night amended section 534 of the city code so that it is prohibited to drive an automobile with glaring or bright light on a paved street in the city- It is permissible to drive a car with glaring or bright lights on an unpaved street provided the owner of the vehicle with the glaring light dims it within 200 yards of another vehicle coming his way- The amendment was sought by the Civil Service Commission who some months ago launched a vig orous campaign against traffic violations. More arrests from bright or glaring lights were made than any other offense. Policemen arrested cars with bright lights on any street and the commission was Deseiged with complaints that on the unpaved streets a car driver using dimmed lights or frosted lights could not see how to travel. The commis sion then decided to provide for us ing glaring or brignt lights only unpaved streets. Dr. Stewart Is Student Speaker Dr. J.
