One hundrel and-seventy arrests
for violation of the traffic law
were made iu Athens in May, ac
cording to the reiiort of chief of
Polico H. W. Beusse to t|ie Civil
Service Commission Tuesday night.
The number of violations In May
exceeded that of April considera
bly. A total of 118 arrests were
made In April. Of this 170 arrests
58 were for running a car with
glaring headlights; 21 for speed'
ing; 10 for reckless driving. Chief
