repents Mrs. E. M, Abernathy of
Lexington, Okla., while she’s seated
at her'desk In the offices of the Se
curity State Bank here. She's presi
dent of that Institution and has been
so since October 1915. She's consid
ered one of the leaders' of the com
munity, not only among women but
• among business men as well.
Confirming, Mrs. Abernathy's para

Miss Movlus drifted Into banking
after sho had been postmistress In
her little home town In North Da
kota. Her two brothers organised
a hank and took her In at cashier.
Now she's -president.
“I believe there Is a future ahead
In the banking business for women,"
she says. “They will be successful,
however, only to the extent they
apply themselves to the business.”

and vefy glossy. Add two cups su
gar gradually and continue the beat
ing. Adll on# cup milk, alternating
with four cups flour sifted with f.'tr
teaspoons baking powder. -Add «t»?fiy
beaten whites of eight eggs, one tea
spoon vanilla extract .and beat 'for
five minutes.
Turn into n buttered pan lined with
paper also buttered, place In a m-st-
