MR. LEE MORRIS has made J
reduction of 25 per cent in cloth
ing. He has the highest class
goods and now is the time to lay
in a supply at a cut-rate price.
Whatever you buy of Mr. Morris
is the best. He has a large and
beautiful stock to r aclect from.
LEADING cotton man of
Athens tells us that it is now hard
to sell the staple, for the mills
seem to have a supply on hand and
only a few factories are in the
market. He says the trade is not
buying goods for future delivery.
This gentleman says his observa
tion is that early in the fall, when
the mills are laying in a supply of
cotton, is the best time for a fai-
mer to sell. He is apt to get a
fair value for his crop. To hold
for an advance is a gamble.
I HAVE TALKED with a num
ber of farmers and every man
who has used poison says he has
few weevils In his cotton and
some say they have gotten rid of
the pest The plant is small, but
you can never tell what cotton will
do until the crop is gathered.
