WASHINGTON.—Women are be-

in the running of the government.
When Miss Louise Stanley as
sumes office as chief of the newly
established bureau of home econo
mics of the Department of Agri
culture September 1, there will lie
more than half a dozen high-sal
aried women assisting In the ac
tivities of the nation. Miss Stan
ley's work will he to direct service
to workers in rural communities
and assist in every -way possible
