It lias been established especially for mature yrcing men who wish to specialize 111 Uarpentry, although they may not have lmd the first and secon«l years of high school training. Men of any age who wish to specialize In this work may do so without having the necessary preparation to take up the regular high school worw. This course will lie of special Interest to high school graduates, who wish to learn a very remuner ative trade In n short time. The course will be very prac tical. Five-stxths of the time will be given to the Building Trade and such allied subjects on Mechanical Drawing, Mathematics and Science. This new course will be In charge of Prof. L. tf\ Hart, who Is a professional archfetct and build er. Prof. Hart Is a graduate of the Georgia School of Technology and a member of tho American So ciety of Agricultural Engineers. The school is completing a large shop which will ,lie adequate to take care of several hundred boys in this line of work, The Building Trades Course Is another phase of the Smith-Hughes work, and fs under the direct charge of Mr. J. F. Cannon, State Supervisor Trades and Industrial Education. His headquarters nro at the Georgia School of Technolo gy. As all the schools of this kind have been established In the large itles, the sons of, farmers have not had an opportunity to take i the work. This is the only boarding j school In the state offering the 1 coarse in Vocational Building Trades. No doubt in time tho course will be largely attended, and It will add greatly to tf t e usefulness of the Fifth Dietrict A. & M. School ^ . .
