In the semi-finals Hodgson had
beaten Aldine Pound, 6-1, 6-1
while Gerdine set Will King Mead*

In the championship meet
Hodgson got off to a lead in the
first set by winriing 6-4 but Ger-
dine came right back and took the
second set 2-6. Hodgson then du
plicated his first ' performance
and won the third set by the'same
score, 6-4, but Gerdine also showed
his duplicating ability and trim*
med the champion again 6-2.
This left the match squared with

then Hodgson tightened up. and
came in tha winner by the acora
that his opponent had made popii

Hodgson is the wir.,.er of the
six tennis balls offerad as prize
and is the undisputed champipn of
the club. This is the first .tennis
