The committee visited Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississ ippi, Alabama and Louisiana and observed a Isrge number of tests in which many kinds of method* were employed. The report recommended early destruction of green cotton stalks Applying poison before squares form either by the use of calcium arsenate duet or calcium arsenate Incorporated in a molasses mix ture, was advised. When cotton begins to bloom and thereafter un til the crop la made, the committee reporta In favor of the use of cal cium arsenate dust applied accord ing to government recommenda tions.
