TO BE HELD IN ROME THIS WEEK TO BE ONE OF GREAT IMPORTANCE TO WOMEN OF THE STATE When the trains arlve In Rome fussday they will be filled with prominent Georgia women, jynlve in club work, to attend the twenty, reventh nnuual convention of the Georgia State Federation of Wo men's club*. jghich will be held in that city from the 16th to 26th, elusive. The wonderful program which has been compiled by Mrs. S. Sanford, of Athens, is to be most constructive to the women of the state, while the social program arranged.by Mrs. J. Lindsay John- pon, of Rome, will add to the pleasure of the guests during the lull from' pore rerlous entertain* menta.7 A reception honoring the visitor* wil be giyen Tuesday afterroon. October 16th,_at the Coosa Comtry Club. On Wednesday, OCtuoer 17th, a luncheon will be given t|ie delegate* nt the Coosa Country club u* 10 o’clocjc. * On Wednerday evening, there will be a receptlbn at Shorter college at 6:30 o'clock, with Dr. D. J. Block er, president of the college, as host An automobile ride to Darlington school will precede the reception. Judd, of Dalton, submits the following report on fares and schedules to Rome, from Atlanta and Kingston: While the railroads have not Is sued any special tariff covering our meeting, they have agreed: That if as many as 250 full fare* are purchased on any or all rail roads from any and all points in the stute to such meeting, a return half fare will bo given on what is kndWn as th* certificate plan. Card* are being mailed, by your chair* man, to your district presidents, for distribution to all delegates. The plan will alsa be explained by your chairman while in Rome.
