man who gave his name as Arthur
R. Hartipton and his address as
Macon, Ga.. i* under arrest here,
charged with the attempted extor
tion under a threat of death.
Mrs. Howard Fel lof this city
received a letter threatening her
life and that of her three year old
daughter unless she paid over $2,-
000 to a man who would call at her
home. Postal authorities arrest
ed Hampton when he appeared on
the scene.

the property to Henry Ford.
