Saturday is the day. In fact it’s the last day—for
football this'season.
And the last game of the Southern season is to be
played in Athens between Georgia and Centre College!
What a delectable aftermath for Thanksgiving!
Enjoyed Thanksgiving with'a big day at home, hod
Friday to check up with the business and then Saturday
the last football game.
That’s an ideal schedule for three days.
And don’t be fooled into believing .you are not going
to see a REAL football game. The Georgia team is
still fighting with its head in the air while the Centre
Colonels need this final game to give thlHn added pres
tige in their claim for the Southern championship.
Georgia’s at home fighting for victory to round out
her season, one that will be highly successful if victory is
hers-
Centre's a visitor invading new territory and seeking
new laurels- It is her second appearance in Georgia. It
is her first visit, to Athens.
We must accord her a welcome and entertain her roy
ally as guests,' as is Athens’ manner—even if we root for
the home team. | .
1 So let’s cheer both Ujgms—may the best one win-r
and not forget the individuals, especially CAPTAIN JOE
BENNETT who is playing hi3 last game and MARK
ANTHONY. Two stalwarts of the Red and Black we
can’t forget.
Cheer them oi» Saturday and remember they’ll be out
there fighting with all they’ve got
DON’T MISS THAT GAME SATURDAY!
