Leaving the office, Mr. Athens decides to drop in at Martin
Brothers Shoe Store and purchase a pair of their attractive
V oxfords. Experiences no difficulty in securing a correct fit—
though his foot is exceptionally narrow for its length. He has
been buying his shoes as long as he can remember from

Lunches at the Little Price Cafe, where he runs into several
friends and nods to a number of acquaintances. Orders the
regular noonday lunch without consulting the menu. Knows
from past experience that it always suits him and saves time
—and money. ^

Mr. Athens strolls down Jackson street “for a little fresh air,”
and to consult Mr. Scott regarding the repainting of his house.
After talking it over, decides on DUPONT PAINT, but knows
too much to decide on the color. Takes a color card with him
to show Mrs. Athens tonight.

Mr. Athens remembers how Mrs. Athens scolded him for al
lowing the mud and dust to remain on the car since hi* trip
to Macon Friday, so he drove out North Lumpkin Street to L.
L. LaBoon’s Automobile Laundry and left an order to have *
the sedan washed. He knows it will be cleaned up right. Get

Getting thinly about' thia time he itopped at a drink itand and
got an ice cold bottle of a well, known drink aa refreshment,

went to “Pit” Glover’s bottling plant and ordered a caae amt

Remembering Ids promise to be at the-barber shop, at thia
time, for his daily shave Mr- Athena, of course, goes to the
GEORGIAN HOTEL, where ali the barbers are always polite

5 P. M.
After leaving the office Mr. Athena gets into his car but the
battery is dead and the self-starter doesn't work. Indulging
in a little temper-losing, perspiration-producing exercise with
the crank, Mr. Athens drives immedistely to Clarke Storage
Battery Company and Is fixed, up with a “rental” battery.

Arriving home Mr. Athens finds Mrs. Athens on the

nine and suddenly remembers that he has a roll of films in his

suggested that Dorsey Furniture Company would be the best
place to buy. She had seen in Dorsey Furniture Company win

At this moment Mr. Athens drove into hla regular parking
•pace at Sam Pinson's Garage, reflecting on his luck In being
able to park his car in a perfectly safe place so near his office
for only five dollars per month. He shouted for the man in
charge to test and adjust his headlights sometime during the
day.
