The Banner-Herald, working with Ben Epps,
local aviator, has made arrangements whereby
Athenians will have ample notice that the giant
dirigible Shenandoah is nearing the city, if it
comes within, sight and arrives here before dark.
The progress of the airship from the time it
leaves its hangar at Lakehurst, N. J., will be chart

Charlotte, N. C. 1
Shortly after the dirigible passes over Char
lotte, Mr. Epps will take to the air in his plane and
circle over Athens several times to let the citizens
know that the airship will pass over the city short
ly afterwards. After circling the city several
times, Mr. Epps will fly'-out to meet the Shenan
