Wednesday morning at 7:50
j o’clock. Her home was near
Gainesville. She was a daughter
(of Mr. and Mrs: W. L. McKinney,
and a sister of Dr. J. C. McKinney
of Athens.
Funeral services will be conduct
ed from the Pleasant Hill Baptist
church in Hall county at 11 o’clock
Thursday morning. Interment will
be in the Pleasant Hill cemetery,

was a native of Hall county and a

She was ill for two months.

who was drowned while on duty
with his ship in Hampton Roads,
with nis snip in Hampton Koads,
Va., October 20th, will be buried
in Oconee cemetery here Friday
ufternoon, following funeral ser
vices from the chapel of Bernstein
Brothers Funeral Hoik nt three
o’clock, conducted by Rev. S. J.
Cartledge, * pastor of ‘the Central
Presbyterian church and Rev. S.
B. Wingfield, pastor of the West
End Baptist church. Mr. Johnson
was a member of the Presbyterian
church. The pallbearers will be
Messrs. Claude McHaffey, Ernest
Baker, Bunk Carithers, Joe Peeler,
Charlie Baird and Judge Freeman.
Mr. Johnson is survived by bis
mother, Mrs. Eula Johnson, a sis
ter, ‘ Miss Annie Lou Johnson;
grandfather, Mr. John Baker; two
aunts, Mrs. J. L. Taylor and Mrs.
K T. Thompson and an uncle, Mr.
J. D. Baker.
Mr. Johnson was nineteen years
of age. He was born in Birming
ham, Ala.
