the initial period, the University of Georgia Bull
dog.. defeated the Green Wave of Tulane, 29 to 18, at
Woodruff Hall Thursday night. The game was the
last of a two game series.

The Athletic Association of the
University of Georgia will award
distinctive letters to the men par
ticipating on the vanity rifle
team. The members of the fresh
man team will receive distinctive
numerals. Only twelve of each
will be given , each year, announ
ces H. J. Stcgeman, director of
physical education at the Univer
sity.
Any man winning a medal at
Camp Perry, where the National
Rifle Association meets, will re
ceive a major “G.” The men mak
ing 'the trip to Camp Perry will
lie awarded a minor. “G.”
The award of the letters and
numerals will be made on recom
mendation of the military depart
ment, said Coach Stegeman.
