- In a letter to the Banner-Herald, T. W. Reed, registrar of the University of Georgia, a scholar

made the suggestion that the Daughters of the Confederacy sponsor the erection of a dormitory on
the campus of Lucy Cobb Institute as a memorial to Miss Mildred Rutherford, former president of
