Summer School Was
Record Breaker
This Year
The present Summer School, the
first six weeks ending last week,
was not only the largest one ever
conducted, but was a record break-
in many respects.

Beet end Cheese Salad.'
Twelve tiny beets, 1 large pack*
age cream cheese, parsley, I cup
vinegar, 1*3 cup sugar, 6 wholt
cloves, 2 inch stick cinnamon
broken in small pieces, 1-2 Ma>
•poon ult, mayonnaise, hearts of
lettuce.
Cook beets until tander, plunge
into cold water and slip skins
Combine Vinegar, sugar, spices
and ult and bring to the boiling
point. Pour boiling hot over
beets and let stand until cool
Chill in the vinegar. Mine* pars
ley very fine. Make tiny bails of
tho cream cheese and roll half of
them in minced parsley. Put three I
beets, one plain cheese hall and
one parsley coveted cheese ball
on each salad plats covered with
